Central Florida Treasure Hunts!

With The Captain's home port being within The Great Peninsula, he tends to host single day treasure huntin' events fer adventurous pirate crews. These single day events take extensive time, effort n' plannin' to execute so they be reserved fer special dates n' seasons.

Previous experience has shown the hot summer months tend to take a toll on pirate crews searchin' fer treasures so The Captain be reservin' these event fer cooler months, prior to June and after September.

The next single day treasure hunt be tentatively scheduled fer March 2019. Once a specific date n' location has been selected, information shall be released via this web portal n' The Captain's Facebook Fan Page at Pirate's Buried Treasures.

To maintain the integrity of The Captain's treasure hunts, the exact location of the single-day events be only released to Registered Teams on the evenin' before the day of the treasure hunt. Treasure hunts be held at state or national parks and usually last from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Registration will be limited so we highly encourage yer crew to register early if ye wish to attend.

The Captain be workin' on new elements fer our next treasure hunt, which shall give teams opportunities to compete against each other n' either earning additional rewards or plunderin's gold coins from the losing team. These challenges be on a voluntary basis n' are not mandatory.

Team Challenges & Game Challenges

As yer team sets out on yer adventure, ye shall be given various challenges to complete along yer way. These challenges shall fall into one of two different categories. Team Challenges be challenges yer team completes in order to acquire team points, Trade Goods or Pirate Gold. Team Challenges shall be fer your team only and no other team shall know what yer challenges be unless ye provide them with the information yerself. Some Team Challenges shall come with treasure maps and others be available at the Quarterdeck. Game Challenges shall be challenges ye compete against other teams to complete as quickly as possible. The Quarterdeck shall have various puzzles to be solved fer rewards and there shall be both team n' individual challenges. Not all challenges require speed to complete mates! Many shall require thought n' knowledge so brush up on yer piracy knowledge as well as that of Captain Blue Eye while ye can! Although The Captain scaled down Quarterdeck activities at our previous hunt in an effort to subdue the high level of interest among the local crown n' red coats roamin' about, he be plannin' much more activities for this next event!

Along with expandin' on the element of Trade Goods for the Pirate's Plunder Treasure Hunt, The Captain be incorporatin' a series of items in which ye may use coins discovered or plundered to purchase. Items to be purchased shall help yer crew complete challenges n' earn more points! Additional items shall be available fer teams to purchase or plunder n' take home!

Trading goods with other teams may prove to be quite effective in completing yer challenges ahead. There be a number of challenges with various levels of difficulty and indeed there be incentive fer all teams to trade together to maximize yer game points. The Captain shall be postin' a series of challenges prior to the hunt, in which rewards be only given to the first team to complete! Other challenges shall be available at The Quarterdeck for various categories such as "First team to complete, first three teams to complete, etc.".

The rewards shall vary based on first, second and third place completions as well as level of difficulty.

Treasure Maps

Once again, treasure maps be part of this treasure hunting experience! Each treasure map bears The Captain's logo, which may be essential to complete certain challenges that require a picture of yer crew with his logo.

Treasure maps provide a visual reference to item locations, but are not completely necessary to engage in the treasure hunt.

Treasure Hunt Rewards

Along with rewards fer Treasure Coins discovered or plundered, there be rewards fer the three highest team points achieved throughout the day. Rewards be payable at the completion of the treasure hunt, or mailed to yer crew if ye wish to depart prior to the end of the hunt. Rewards be as follows:

1st Place Team - $150.00

2nd Place Team - $100.00

3rd PLace Team - $50.00

Gold, Silver & Bronze Pirate Gold Coins shall be included in this treasure hunt!

Cell phone usage be highly encouraged during one-day treasure hunts. They can be used to gain additional information regarding Team Challenges. While out on yer treasure hunting adventure, there shall be "checkpoints" for ye to discover. If ye follow the specified directions fer a given checkpoint, ye shall be rewarded!

Team Registration

Team registration be required to participate in The Pirate's Plunder Treasure Hunt. Team Registration be $30.00. Treasure Maps be an additional $15.00. Treasure Maps be not required to participate, but they be highly recommended. Points shall be given, recorded and announced as teams discover items and completes challenges. Registration be limited at each event based on feasible capacity to prevent over crowding and pre-registration be required. TEAM REGISTRATION SHALL NOT BE ACCEPTED ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT. On the morning of the event, registered teams shall report to The Quarterdeck to receive their gear, notices and event updates. Upon completion of yer treasure hunting adventure, each team shall report back to The Quarterdeck to submit their discoveries and receive rewards.

TEAM REGISTRATION SHALL NOT BE ACCEPTED ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
